La passerelle Saint-Vincent échappe à la destruction lors de la fuite des troupes allemandes en 1944, fuite qui laisse presque tous les ponts de la ville détruits. This trail takes you along parts of Mølleåen, which runs through Furesø and Christians IX's Hegn. At Furesø you can see ducks and other birds, and you are therefore encouraged to bring binoculars. In addition, you will also get through the scenic surroundings of Christian IX's Hegn. Here you may be lucky enough to meet some of the forest animals like pheasants, squirrels and fallow deer.

The Passerelle Saint-Vincent is one of only two bridges not to be severely damaged or destroyed by the fleeing Nazis in 1944. But, it is sheer luck that it stood. Had the German blasts that were placed under the Feuillée bridge not misfired, Saint-Vincent surely would have been demolished.
